Prohibited Listings Policy

In order to keep MERCATRADE trading environment free of any immoral, illegal or potentially harmful activities, MERCATRADE request that your listings of product or service comply with this policy and the MERCATRADE Terms of Use (in particular the article 5.4). This helps avoid potential issues with your listing. As a Member of MERCATRADE.com, you agree to be bound to this policy and you agree to make sure that your listing complies with the law.

Violations of the following prohibitions may result in a range of actions, including:

• Listing cancellation
• Account cancellation

When a policy violation occurs, we email the members to let him know that the listing was removed from the site. You can report violations by clicking the “Contact Us” link located on most of our help pages.

Understanding the rules about prohibited listings

• Policies about listing items are often based on country and state laws. However, many prohibitions may involve the sale of dangerous or sensitive items and are not necessarily prohibited by law but may offend our users’ belief or conviction.
• Keep in mind that although certain items may be legal to sell in your country, they might be illegal elsewhere.
• It is also important to review and comply with the MERCATRADE Terms of Use and MERCATRADE
• Intellectual Property Infringement Policy to check if your item has additional prohibitions that would affect your listing.

Prohibited listing categories:

1. Firearms, ammunition, Weapons, explosives

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

2. Hazardous and dangerous materials

Hazardous or dangerous goods (such as explosives, radioactive materials, flammable gases, liquids and solids, and toxic substances) may pose a danger to health, safety or property while being transported and are prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

3. Police, Government and Transit items

Police, Government and Transit Documents, Uniforms, IDs, Licenses and Other Items are prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

4. Artifacts

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

5. Any replica or counterfeit items

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

6. Contracts and Invoices

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

7. Event tickets

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

8. Credit and debit card

It is prohibited to post listing for Credit Card or Debit Card that are not provided directly by an authorized credit card or debit card agent or re-seller.

9. Drugs

Any listing about narcotics, steroids or other controlled substances are prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

Listing for drug paraphernalia is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com. Such paraphernalia includes all items that are primarily intended or designed for use in manufacturing, concealing or using a controlled substance.

10. Prescription drugs and medical devices

Controlled drugs and medical devices that require a prescription from a licensed practitioner (such as a doctor, dentist, ophthalmologist or optometrist) are not permitted on MERCATRADE.com; this includes drugs prescribed by veterinarians for animals.

11. Electronic surveillance equipment

MERCATRADE.com does not permit the listing of products that are designed to record the private oral, wire or electronic conversations of others without their knowledge or permission such as surveillance microphones, telephone bugs, and wiretap devices

12. Financial services

Financial services that do not comply with article 5.3 of MERCATRADE Terms of Use are prohibited.

13. Listing encouraging illegal activities

MERCATRADE.com prohibits the listing of items or links to items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity. MERCATRADE.com also prohibits buyers from requesting or encouraging sellers to break any applicable laws.  In addition MERCATRADE.com may remove listings as requested by law enforcement to cooperate with any investigation or to prevent harm to MERCATRADE.com and its members

14. Human Parts and Remains

Humans, the human body, or any human body parts are not permitted on MERCATRADE.com

15. Wildlife and animal products

MERCATRADE.com does not allow the listing of any pets or other live animals or animal parts. Are only available listings dedicated to the production of food such as: eggs, fish and seafood, honey, meat, poultry, livestock and under the condition that these products are not under the protection of any International law or treaty.

16. Mailing Lists and personal information

MERCATRADE.com does not permit listings of names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or other personal identifying information.

17. Lottery tickets

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

18. Adult and Pornographic materials

Any listing entering this category and not complying with article 5.3 of MERCATRADE.com terms of Use is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

19. Satellite and cable TV descramblers

MERCATRADE.com does not permit the listing of satellite and cable TV de-scramblers, radar scanners, and traffic signal control devices

20. Software

MERCATRADE.com does not permit the listing of software by a company that is not a) the editor of the software, b) an authorized reseller of such software. Listing of software infringing any third party intellectual property right is also prohibited on MERCATRADE.com.  

21. Stock and other securities

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

22. Stolen Property and Property with Removed Serial Numbers 

Any listing entering this category is prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

23. Offensive materials

Any offensive material, or material not complying with article 5.3 of MERCATRADE.com Terms of use are prohibited on MERCATRADE.com

24. Weeds and seeds

MERCATRADE.com does not permit the listing of noxious weeds and prohibited seeds.
