News Fair Trade Colombia Canada

We consider ourselves a social enterprise created with the purpose of helping those who cannot access international markets to bring their fair trade products to Canada.

Fair Trade Colombia's vision is to become the leading importer of fair trade products from Colombia in Canada to be sold at the wholesale and retail level.

Our organization has been created in 2008 in order to provide opportunities for vulnerable communities in Colombia, especially those affected by the internal conflict, to market their fair trade products in Canada. We believe that by creating these new opportunities for people to provide for themselves in a fair environment, peace will ensue.

We want to contribute to the producer's well being by:

• Finding a market for their products,
• Fostering the continuous implementation of better fair trade practices
• Encouraging the development of greener products.

Fair Trade Colombia will donate 20% of our annual net income to be invested in educational projects to benefit the producers we represent.
